Kintsugi Camps

Periodic gatherings around the craft of repair.

Three to five days, in a different city each time. Small groups. Real work.

The Camps are a traveling practice. We meet in cities and host venues around the world — a few times a year, never in the same place twice in a row — to spend several days inside one question of the kintsugi philosophy.

Each Camp is built around a craft theme: repairing a broken object with gold, walking slowly in handmade shoes, sitting with a damaged image until it speaks. We work in the morning, eat together, sit in the afternoon, and close the day with one ritual.

The Camps are small — ten to fourteen people per session — because the work only happens at small scale.

What it is

  • A 3-5 day gathering, in a different city each time
  • Ten to fourteen people per session
  • Built around one craft theme — repair, walking, ritual, sound
  • Led by Denys; sometimes with Evgeniy Lapchenko or a guest

What you get

  • The full program (mornings of practice, afternoons of conversation, evening rituals)
  • Two meals per day (lunch and dinner together)
  • All materials
  • A small object you make and take home
  • One short publication in the gallery's journal

What we expect

  • You arrive on time and you stay for the whole Camp
  • You travel and find your own lodging — we share host-venue partners and trusted nearby options
  • You come with attention, not with a deliverable
