Entry №1 — The Frog Jumps In

古池や 蛙飛び込む 水の音
Furuike ya kawazu tobikomu mizu no oto
An old pond. A frog jumps in. The sound of water.
— Matsuo Bashō
For a long time, the pond was still.
We were preparing it quietly — the works, the words, the website, the postcards from Bali. Today, the frog jumps in.
This is the first entry in the Kintsugi Gallery journal. With it, the gallery opens.
There is no grand opening. A grand opening would betray everything we are trying to build. We wanted a small splash, a clear sound, and circles that keep moving outward — slowly, every Wednesday.
Kintsugi Gallery was created by Evgeniy Lapchenko, Kostiantyn Tumasov, and Denys Rzhavskyi — three fragments of one idea: that art can come closer to everyday life. That a painting, an object, a print, a postcard can enter real homes and make them deeper.
A painting can make a room deeper. An object can make a table more alive. A signed print can carry the warmth of the artist's hand. A small piece of art can become a daily reminder that beauty is not a luxury — it is a way of making life more human.
The website has just been launched. It is still young, still finding its form. We will be grateful if you visit it, walk through the works, feel the atmosphere, and send us any thought, impression, or suggestion. For us, this is not only a gallery. It is a living space that will grow together with artists, collectors, friends, and everyone who feels connected to this world.
The first object
A limited set of postcards featuring works by Evgeniy Lapchenko — personally signed by the artist and sent from Bali.
For anyone who has long wanted to own something connected to Evgeniy's painting, this is a rare and quiet door in. Each postcard is not only a printed image. It is a small collectible object, touched by the artist's hand, carrying the trace of Bali and the spirit of the original work.
Keep it in a collection. Place it on a desk or a shelf. Send it to someone as a message from another part of the world. Give it to a room that needs a little more depth.
Signed limited editions often grow in value as the artist's work gains recognition. But the more important thing is simpler: the chance to hold a small piece of living art today.
The sound of this moment
A clip that carries the same haiku at its heart. The frog. The pond. The water.
Listen to it as the soundtrack of this entry. The journal begins where the sound of water begins.
Every Wednesday, another stone. Another ripple.
Welcome to the Kintsugi Gallery journal.
