      "content": "There is a song by Happy People called Salted Caramel. One line goes:\n\n\"But I love daily — not only on Wednesday.\"\n\nToday is Wednesday. And this is the second entry in the journal.\n\nBut the song is right: love does not wait for Wednesdays. It only becomes visible on them.\n\nIn the first entry, a frog jumped into an old pond, and the water made a sound.\n\nSome sounds take years to finish.\n\nI want to remember one Wednesday from 2016 — the Wednesday I first met Evgeniy Lapchenko.\n\nBack then he was living at 906 Broadway, inside Hack Temple — a former Catholic church in San Francisco that had become a space for art and technology. He was painting his own version of Bosch: a Garden of Earthly Delights rebuilt out of Silicon Valley, festivals, screens, and new saints. That work would travel far — international recognition, coverage through the NYT News Service / Syndicate, and other serious publications.\n\nBut, as it often happens, the real meaning was not only in the paintings. It was in the consequences of the meeting.\n\nThat single Wednesday set circles moving. Together with Asya Nikolayeva and Pavel Fedorov, we made a film about Zhenya — LEVGENIY. It follows a year of his life in San Francisco: the rises, the falls, the canvases, the disappointments, and his love for California, Ukraine, and art.\n\nI recommend watching it. The sound of water.\n\n— Matsuo Bashō\n\nFor a long time, the pond was still.\n\nWe were preparing it quietly — the works, the words, the website, the postcards from Bali. Today, the frog jumps in.\n\nThis is the first entry in the Kintsugi Gallery journal. With it, the gallery opens.\n\nThere is no grand opening. A grand opening would betray everything we are trying to build. We wanted a small splash, a clear sound, and circles that keep moving outward — slowly, every Wednesday.\n\nKintsugi Gallery was created by Evgeniy Lapchenko, Kostiantyn Tumasov, and Denys Rzhavskyi — three fragments of one idea: that art can come closer to everyday life. That a painting, an object, a print, a postcard can enter real homes and make them deeper.\n\nA painting can make a room deeper. An object can make a table more alive. A signed print can carry the warmth of the artist's hand. A small piece of art can become a daily reminder that beauty is not a luxury — it is a way of making life more human.\n\nThe website has just been launched. It is still young, still finding its form.
